Chemical composition answers how much of an element was detected. Mineralogical work helps describe the minerals that contain it and their associations with other material.
What it means in practice
That distinction matters when a producer assesses process options. A single Sb percentage is not a complete description of the feed. Representative sampling and suitable technical tests are needed to evaluate a process route.
Bring it into your next discussion
For a new supply source, organise the available assays, sample information and mineralogical work in a traceable file. Identify gaps openly so commercial expectations do not get ahead of the technical evidence.
